Volumental is growing our sales and marketing teams to multiply revenue over the next year, and we need passionate and motivated people to make it happen!

At Volumental, we’re passionate about creating a great shopping experience and helping people find the best products for them (both fit and style) - starting with shoes. To do that we 3D scan people’s feet and use AI to find or create shoes that fit you perfectly. This data also helps our customers, mainly world leading brands, to develop better products. Volumental’s 3D technology is currently live in more than 1000 stores in 35 countries.

We’re in a strong growth phase. In two short years, since we rolled out our first scanner in 2016, we now help thousands of people every day find shoes that fit. Our solution is a crucial part of making footwear retail more efficient, personalised and sustainable. We do this by utilising our beautifully designed high tech software and hardware, at present unparalleled in the global retail industry.

What will you do?

  • You will be the main point of contact for strategically important and growing customers. In your role you will develop the Volumental-Customer relationship to ensure our solution is being implemented successfully, receive feedback, communicate the status of customisations and future updates, collect and provide usage insights and understand the customer’s growth potential and strategic priorities.
  • Be a trusted adviser, by keeping track of relevant industry news and understanding the impact of our solution on the trends driving the industry forward, you will help our customers continuously innovate their customer experiences and product offerings.
  • Participate in product stakeholder meetings to ensure we are meeting (and predicting) our customers’ needs on all fronts and that we are on track with our deliverables to customers. As the tech and product teams share their priorities and timelines, you will ensure that they align with customer expectations and that we are forthcoming with any expectation mismatches.
  • Grow our customers through upselling our existing and new products. Proactively identify growth opportunities and show how our new products will contribute to the targets set by our customers.
  • Meet face to face with key customers for annual or semi-annual strategic reviews at their HQ with all the relevant stakeholders. Our customers are based around the world so this will require international travel.
  • All the other things! One week you may be presenting our next product in a boardroom and the next you might be supporting the sales team. We’re growing, but we are still a startup and you need to thrive in an intense and very collaborative environment.

  • You are a collaborative team member with low prestige, willing to jump in where needed.
  • You have worked with B2B sales and/or project management in or with large, multinational corporations. You are skilled at running projects with several stakeholders.
  • You thrive on the challenge of joining a startup, where things are still being created, but they move fast and you can see the impact of your work on a daily basis. 
  • You are driven, analytical and organised – able to see the big picture and sweat the small details. You enjoy creative problem solving and analysing what can be improved in our customer interactions to ensure we do better moving forward.
  • You are tech-savvy – you do not need to have a PhD in Robotics or AI (we have five of those already) but you will be learning to sell a highly technical product and a technical background is a huge plus.
  • You are easy to talk to. This role will require cross-cultural communication with stakeholders throughout large organisations.
  • You are willing to travel. We work with customers around the world and this role will require regular travel to attend customer meetings, fairs and conferences.
  • You are comfortable working in English (other languages are a plus) – our customers are in 35 countries and our team of 45 consists of 21 nationalities. This is part of what makes Volumental a great place to work!

But fear not: we’re always trying to find more sustainable ways of producing footwear (our expert Sofie is on top of that).
