Business Developer - Strategic Partnerships

Does working with strategic partnerships to scale the world’s leading footwear AI and 3D technology to brands and retailers across the globe sound like an exciting challenge? 

At Volumental, we're passionate about creating great digital shoe shopping experiences using 3D scanning and AI recommendation technology. This foot data also helps our customers, global footwear brands, design better footwear. Volumental's technology is currently live in 1500 stores across 38 countries. And that's just the start - we're on a mission to help 500 million people find perfect fitting footwear by 2025. 

Now we're looking for you, an analytical and driven business developer, to help us achieve that mission! 


What will you do?

  • Be the link between Volumental and our partners. You will be our main contact/KAM with strategic partners to accelerate our sales and complement our current product offering. This includes owning communication processes and knowledge sharing with internal Volumental stakeholders including in our product, tech, marketing and legal team. You will actively drive key sales processes with our partners to help maximize deal size and accelerate the speed of joint sales processes.
  • Grow Volumental in new markets. As a scaling startup we do not have the bandwidth or in some cases the industry specific knowledge required to tap into all markets our solution can address. You will explore which markets we are not currently addressing and source and evaluate partners that can accelerate our growth. You will also strategize and execute on business model development with new and existing partners. 
  • Hunt for our next business doubling client. Develop strategies to win accounts that could more than double our business. Build relationships with relevant stakeholders, analyze their strategic priorities and explore new avenues for turning early discussions into qualified business opportunities.
  • All the other things! One day you may be negotiating terms with a strategic partner and the next you might be leveling up our internal processes for navigating relationships with key customers and supporting the other members of the sales team. We’re growing, but we are still a startup and you need to thrive in an intense and hands-on environment.


We are excited about you because

  • You have a proven track record in setting up and managing partnerships or strategic key account sales. You enjoy finding areas where mutual value creation is maximized and can balance long and short term perspectives. You enjoy working on the full deal cycle from initial exploration to negotiation and launching new business.
  • You are a top notch structured, logical thinker with a unique ability to zoom in and out between details and big picture. You enjoy analyzing market data and developing and testing hypotheses for solving difficult problems, but also having the conversations needed to find out if the numbers will hold up in the wild. 
  • You are a project management maven. You are skilled at running projects with many stakeholders, both internally and externally, and have developed processes for doing so. You also thrive on the challenges involved in cross-organizational and cross-cultural collaboration. 
  • You are a collaborative team member with low prestige, willing to jump in where needed. You enjoy putting on a different hat every day (legal, product, marketing, etc.) and working closely with all departments internally.
  • You are willing to travel. Our partners and customers are based around the world. While our main form of communication leverages technology, we've realized that F2F interaction is often needed to build strong relationships with partners and jointly close deals with large prospects.

  • You've spent time in strategy consulting
  • You have strong quantitative data analysis skills
  • You have lived to tell the tale of a rapidly scaling startup
  • You have experience negotiating partnerships.

 

This is a full-time position based at our Stockholm headquarters, reporting to the VP Sales.
